I have spent the last three blog posts focusing on donor engagement, but for many non-profits, especially those who operate in the health and human services space, there is another area where engagement is equally, if not more, important. That is managing relationships with their clients. Today, we will look at how Peak NFP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM can be leveraged to provide client, program, and outcome tracking that is so important to many non-profits. We are very lucky to work with many types of non-profit organizations. Health and social service focused organizations are one of those types. They hold a special place for me, and I love getting the chance to work with them. Right now, we are in the midst of several projects where we are helping those types of organizations better track and understand information about the programs they provide, the clients they serve, and the outcomes they are driving in their communities. Many non-profits rely on spreadsheets or antiquated “home-grown” systems to support these programs, and a solution built on Peak NFP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM can help them get a more modern solution that provides better intelligence and data, making managing the organization more effective. While every health and human service non-profit may share similarities, they also have differences. Our Peak NFP toolset includes functionality for tracking programs, clients, cases, activities, and outcomes right out of the box. This means we can take those commonalities and have a base set of functionality that provides value to our customer immediately. From there, we work with each client to ensure we take our base solution and add the components that support the unique ways in which they operate. This could be unique data fields they track, reports required, or other custom functionality. At the core of the solution is the program. Peak NFP lets you create an unlimited number of programs. Associated to the programs are cases. Each case has a unique data tracking form, specific to the program the case is associated to. These forms can be easily added to and updated. Cases are tracked to a client and any other involved parties and allow for robust activity tracking, appointments, note taking, and surveys. Outcomes can then be tracked to each case, and the cases can be resolved. This core solution works well as a base for many non-profits that operate in this way and is a fantastic tool to build on. Also included in our solution is a client portal. This provides a mobile-friendly mechanism for electronic client-intake forms (integrated directly into your system), with ongoing engagement tools, such as appointment tracking and reminders, online discussion or counseling, and profile management. All of this data is integrated in real-time to the Peak NFP system, so no messy syncing of data or moving data between systems. Another very important part of any program tracking tool is to report on the information. Peak NFP has you covered there with analytics and dashboarding built into the tool, with robust reporting and business intelligence toolsets. A large part of attracting and maintaining grant funding is having robust reporting on the outcomes being driven by your programs. Peak NFP provides a place to manage all of this info and the needed reporting to further your mission. By utilizing a robust toolset, such as Peak NFP, our customers can better manage their organizations, have a solid picture of the effectiveness of their programs, and provide better engagement to their clients and case workers. This is all important to allow your focus as a non-profit to be on better serving your clients and maximizing your impact to your community.
