For the past two years the CRM Vertex team has held the strong belief that a portal should be a part of every CRM implementation. Microsoft’s announcement today of an acquisition of one of our competitors proves that they also believe in the importance of portals.
Many people might expect that news like this would be devastating to a small business such as ours. On the contrary, we see this as an excellent opportunity. Not only will this spark even more interest and more conversations around portals, as our fellow ISV ClickDimensions has shown, there is always room for alternative options in the Microsoft ecosystem. If you build a great product at a reasonable price, people will pay attention.
At CRM Vertex the entire lifespan of our company has been about a laser focus on building a great portal product for Microsoft Dynamics CRM – a product that is easy to set-up, intuitive to use, simple to customize and extend, and priced affordably. We will continue to bring that focus to work tomorrow and are excited about our rebrand that is being unveiled on October 1, this Thursday.
